DESCRIPTION:Over six weeks we will cover:\nChoosing a pattern and fabric\nMeasuring yourself to ensure a good fit and some basic pattern adjustments\nReading and understanding patterns and cutting out\nHow to insert a zip\nTypes of seams and neatening\nSleeves\, cuffs\, buttons and buttonholes\nEach week will have elements of learning techniques and of completing your own garment. \nWhat to bring:\nSewing machine (or use one of the shop machines)\nSewing kit (sharp scissors\, pins\, needles\, tape measure\, pencil and notebook)\nIn the first week we will discuss patterns and fabrics and we’ll begin making up your project in week 2 so you don’t need to have chosen your pattern and fabric to begin the course.
