The Crafty Cuppa

Here at the Crafty Cuppa you will find lots to see and do.

The café space itself can seat over 40.

We have a lovely garden space which is a real suntrap in the summer so a perfect place to relax!

The cafe is easily accessible for disabled customers with a wide entrance at the side of the cafe. Just ring the bell by the door or catch our attention and we will come and open it for you.

Our toilet is not wide enough for a wheelchair but there is a handle to help when using it and space in the corridor to leave a chair or buggy. There is a change mat to use until the changing unit is fixed securely.

The café itself is a calming creative atmosphere to come and sit and create. Bring your own craft and sit and enjoy with a cuppa and cake. There are also various kits available if you wish to purchase one and plenty of books in the book nook to help inspire you for your next creative project.

At the back of the cafe there is a workshop space which can be hired to run workshops or hold meetings. This space can come with tea and coffee facilities and is self contained. To hire this room please click here.

While the workshop space isn’t in use it is available as space for the café to provide extra seating.

The workshop space runs many creative or wellness sessions. To book on an event or to find out what’s on then click here.

The main cafe is stacked with shelves which are full of creations from Dorset Artisans. If you are a creator and would like to rent a shelf to showcase what you make then do click here to find out more.

We have an onsite baker who bakes fresh cakes several times a week. Her cakes are predominantly gluten free with occasional speciality cakes to enjoy. We also stock Honeybuns cake slices which are gluten free and some are vegan free. We do stock other cakes and these vary on the day to it’s always a great excuse to come in and check!

We are all volunteers in the café and all love the café and the principles it stands for. We are all committed to combatting loneliness and to make the space as inclusive as possible and not to mention celebrating Dorset and all it’s creativity!

We really hope you love the Crafty Cuppa and enjoy the atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome you to Dorchester’s Craft Café!

Love Jen and the team!
